Web Application Engineer

Zeeis is seeking an experienced Web Application Engineer that is passionate about building user-facing web applications.

  • Work with Product Designers and Software Engineers to implement the next generation of Zeeis products
  • Build efficient and reusable front-end abstractions and systems
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks
  • Participate in design and code reviews
  • Interact with other team members to incorporate their innovations and vice versa
  • Identify and communicate best practices for front-end engineering
  • Expert knowledge of web technologies (HTML/CSS/JS)
  • Experience with scripting languages (PHP, Python, Perl, etc.)
  • Extremely detail oriented. Strives for pixel perfect implementation in all browsers
  • Unmistakable passion for elegant and intuitive user interfaces

Senior Software Engineer

Zeeis is seeking experienced Software Engineers to join the team. The position is full-time. We are hiring engineers to work on all parts of the stack - to create web, mobile and embedded applications that reach hundreds of millions of people, and to build the massively scalable systems that power these applications.

Work on any part of the stack, including:

  • Code high-volume software using primarily C++ and Java
  • Create web or mobile applications using primarily Java
  • Implement web interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Build report interfaces and data feeds
  • B.S. Computer Science or related field
  • Expertise with C++ and/or Java
  • Knowledge of Perl or PHP or Python
  • Knowledge of relational databases and SQL

Hardware Engineering

Hardware Design Engineer

Zeeis Hardware Engineering Team has an opening for an Electrical Engineer to participate in the design, implementation, and qualification of various prototyping platforms.

The candidate will work closely with cross-functional design teams to develop new technology prototypes. The applicant must be familiar with computer system architecture & PCB layout using high speed digital design rules.

Duties include driving schematic capture, guiding PCB/EMC design, prototyping bring-up and debugging, hardware bug tracking, test plan creation, test plan execution, functional verification, signal characterization, manufacturing support, and inspiring & mentoring junior engineers.

Good communication, analytical, and documentation skills required. Experience with FPGA’s, microcontrollers, bus interfaces and Ethernet highly preferred.

BS/MS EE or equivalent with a minimum of 3 years experience in the design and development of high speed digital and/or analog boards and systems.

  • Must have a solid understanding of the system development process including concept creation, schematics and board development, as well as board and system bring up and debugging.
  • Must have direct experience with one or more of the following technologies: Intel-based systems, high speed bus design, low power design, industry standard protocols (PCI Express, USB, Ethernet, DDR2, etc.) and their design issues.
  • Must have excellent communication skills.

Senior PCB Designer

Responsible for collaborating with engineers and design teams in the design and development of complex, detailed layouts of rigid and flexible printed circuit boards using CAE and CAD applications and tools. Work with design teams to plan schedules, resolve costs, packaging, manufacturing, and electrical design issues. Proactive in implementing new PCB technologies and processes.

  • Study PCB design trends and processes. Evaluate and implement those that apply to Zeeis’ core technologies.
  • Conduct design feasibility studies to evaluate the PCB design goals for packaging, cost, manufacturing and system performance.
  • Assist lower level PCB Designer in the resolution of critical design problems. Train PCB Designers in specialized areas of PCB design.
  • Propose PCB design trade-offs to the engineering design team for resolution and implementation.
  • Performs complex and difficult CAD and CAE tasks requiring extensive skill and knowledge of equipment capabilities, applications techniques and design limitations.

Understands Zeeis’ design standards for Manufacturing and Test. Understands the requirements for a quality design and strives to achieve the requirements before releasing the product to manufacturing. Understands the driving PCB technology and process trends and their application to Zeeis' designs.

Maintains technical coordination with Engineering, Products Design, Test, EMC Engineering and Manufacturing. Resolve PCB design issues with fabrication and manufacturing vendors. Proactively participates in the evolution and definition of Zeeis' Design For Manufacturing (DFM) guidelines. Participate and provide input into the PCB design specifications and standards with respect to product design, electrical design, manufacturing and various regulatory agency requirements to determine design trade-offs necessary to meet design goals and produce high quality PCB’s at the lowest cost and within schedule.

Typically requires a minimum of 5+ years of related experience.
