Automatic Switching Appliance Q5 Series

Automatic Transfer Switch: ZSEE Q5 series is suitable for emergency power supply systems with an AC frequency of 50Hz, a rated operating voltage below 400V, and a rated current of 16-3200A, ensuring continuous power supply to electrical load circuits. The ZSEEQ5 is a specialized dual power product that can automatically detect the status of the power supply. When any phase of the power supply is found to be interrupted or has a voltage out of limit, it will switch the electrical load circuit from the faulty power source to another source. Once the power is restored to normal, the ATSE will automatically switch the load circuit back to the normal power source.

The product is mainly composed of three parts: a dedicated motorized double-throw transfer switch, an intelligent control system, and an independent arc-extinguishing system. The motorized double-throw switch acts as the “muscle” of the ATSE, used to switch on and off the power load circuit of the rated current and overload current; the intelligent control system serves as the “brain” of the ATSE, monitoring the quality of the power supply in real time and issuing switching commands. The switch contact system uses an independent arc guide device and a multi-channel arc extinguishing and burn-resistant silver-based contact to improve the ability to withstand short-term fault currents and load conversion closure capabilities.

Environmental Conditions and Applications

The ZSEEQ5 automatic transfer switch can operate reliably under the following conditions:

  • The installation location altitude does not exceed 2000 meters;
  • The ambient air temperature does not exceed +40°C, and its average temperature over 24 hours does not exceed +35°C, with a lower limit of no less than -5°C;
  • At +40°C, the relative humidity of the air does not exceed 50%, and at lower temperatures, higher relative humidity is allowed, for example, up to 90% at 20°C. Special measures should be taken for condensation occasionally produced due to temperature changes;
  • No explosive atmosphere environment;
  • No rain or snow intrusion environment;
  • Pollution level of 3;

The fault alarm provides alerts for power issues in the circuit, including power outages, overvoltage, undervoltage, phase imbalance, and frequency imbalance. It can monitor the power supply in real-time and report problems to on-site staff during use.

Reliable Contact and Arc Extinguishing Mechanism

The V-shaped staggered arc-extinguishing grid with silver-based contacts ensures the quality of current conduction and enhances the product’s connection and disconnection capabilities.

Three-position Products with Neutral Overlap Switching Function

3N Neutral Overlap Switching: During the switch’s power state transition, the N phase remains connected, avoiding a floating state. In the double-disconnection state, the N poles of both the primary and backup power supplies are closed. When the primary power supply is closed, the backup power N pole is disconnected; when the backup power supply is closed, the primary power N pole is disconnected.

ZSEEQ5 Series Split-type Intelligent Controller Overview

The intelligent controller is the standard control system configured with the dual power automatic transfer switch, providing detection functions such as under-voltage, phase loss, over-voltage, under-voltage, phase imbalance, and frequency. Parameter modification and setting functions include frequency amplitude adjustment, conversion delay adjustment, return delay adjustment, under-voltage range adjustment, over-voltage range adjustment, neutral transient delay adjustment, oil machine warm-up delay, oil machine cool-down delay, etc. It also features oil machine control, memory storage data function, fire zero setting, fire feedback, remote and local switch position control, MODBUS communication function (optional), working status indication, and self-test function. The control system is installed with an embedded cabinet door, making it easy to install and aesthetically pleasing.
