“Intelligent universal circuit breaker: ZSEE W2 series (hereinafter referred to as the circuit breaker) is suitable for AC 50Hz, rated voltage up to 690V, and rated current up to 6300A and below in power distribution networks. It is used to distribute electrical energy and protect circuits, power equipment, and motors from overload, undervoltage, short circuits, single-phase grounding, and other faults. The circuit breaker can be equipped with various intelligent controllers, offering comprehensive protection functions. Among them, the communication-type intelligent controller is equipped with a communication interface, facilitating connection to the field bus and enabling the realization of remote measurement, remote adjustment, remote control, and remote signaling (“Four Remote” functions) to meet automation control requirements. By configuring a leakage current transformer and the corresponding intelligent controller, leakage protection can also be achieved.

Operating Environment and Applications

  • The ambient air temperature ranges from -5℃ to +40℃, with a 24-hour average not exceeding +35℃;

    Note: If the upper limit exceeds +40℃ or the lower limit falls below -5℃, it must be specified.

  • At a maximum temperature of +40℃, the relative humidity of the air should not exceed 50%. Higher relative humidity is allowed at lower temperatures, for example, reaching 90% at 20℃. Special measures should be taken for occasional condensation due to temperature changes;

  • The altitude at the installation site should not exceed 2000m;

  • Pollution level: 3;

  • Protection level: IP40;

  • The vertical tilt of the installation should not exceed 5°;

  • Usage category: B;

  • Installation category of the main circuit: IV; For the auxiliary circuit, except for the undervoltage release coil, the installation category of the power transformer primary coil is the same as the circuit breaker, and its installation category is III;

  • Transportation and storage conditions: -40℃~+70℃.

Intelligent Controller Protection Features

  • Overload long-time delay protection action characteristics.

  • The setting range I/In and accuracy of the intelligent controller are shown in Table 1.

  • The inverse time-delay overcurrent protection action characteristics are shown in Table 2, where the inverse time curve conforms to the P2T,=(1.5Ir1)?t, characteristic curve. In this formula, ! is the actual operating current; T is the actual long-time delay operating time; t is the setting time for long-time delay at 1.5lr1.

  • Short-time delay overcurrent protection action characteristics.

  • The protection characteristics of the controller at low multiples of current are inverse time, and the inverse time curve conforms to PTS=(8Ir1)ts (where Ts is the actual operating time for short-time delay; ts is the setting time for short-time delay). When the overload current exceeds 8lr1, it should automatically switch to definite time characteristics, and the definite time characteristics are shown in Table 3.

  • The overcurrent protection characteristics of the intelligent controller are shown in Figure 1.

  • Ground fault protection action characteristic curve is shown in Figure 2.

  • Ground fault protection is divided into two types: one detects the neutral point current. When the three-phase current is balanced, the neutral point current is zero. When the three-phase current is unbalanced and the neutral point current exceeds the set value, the intelligent controller issues an alarm, and after a set delay time, a command is issued as required, causing the circuit breaker to trip or not trip. The other type detects the ground line current. When the current exceeds the set value, the intelligent controller issues an alarm, and after a set delay time, a command is issued as required, causing the circuit breaker to trip or not trip. The ground fault protection characteristic is a definite time characteristic.
